New Blog Post - Austin Area homes are still experiencing a housing shortage
I just wanted to reach out to you with some important information about the Austin Area Housing Market.
We are still in a housing shortage. There are about 175 people moving to the Austin - Round Rock area every day.
This is a Seller’s Market! Many sellers are experiencing multiple offers resulting in bidding wars and maximized profits! My own personal experience - I purchased a home last year and in that same neighborhood, prices of homes have gone up by as much as 35,000.00 to 50,000.00. I can email you proof by sending you a MLS listing data from a year ago to present day. Just let me know if you would like that information and I will be happy to provide you a comprehensive review of what is going on in your neighborhood.
New home builders are scrambling to build inventory and most new subdivisions are 8 months out from completion. What does that mean for you?? It means --established homes such as yours are in high demand. With that said once the builders catch up you will face serious competition. (Take a drive - visit those new home builders for yourself to find out how many new communities are coming soon).
I know that Christmas and New Year is just around the corner so the last thing on your mind would be putting you home up for sale, and I agree. However, if you are thinking about selling don't put it off. The best time to list is after the 1st of January. Many buyers are counting on tax returns for down payments and making the move during spring break and the summer break.
